Kitchen Crate 1: Breakfast Oats

Kitchen Crate 1: Breakfast Oats begins our next chapter at Birdy & Pretzels. Created as the follow-up to our Bakers Crate series, the Kitchen Crate moves beyond baking and into the recipes, techniques, and hardworking tools we use throughout the kitchen.

Each Kitchen Crate is built around original B&P recipes. For our first crate, we’re starting with four Breakfast Oats recipes, all printed on our spill-proof, waterproof synthetic recipe paper. Every tool in the crate has been intentionally selected to support those recipes—and to earn a permanent place in your kitchen.

For homemade granola, we’ve included a gorgeous mason jar with a hinged lid and orange gasket, filled with the dry ingredients you’ll need for the recipe. Once the granola is made, reuse the jar for storage or fill it up and give it as a gift. Clear pan liners and parchment liners make baking and cleanup easier, while a wooden tamper helps you shape perfectly portioned granola cups.

You’ll also receive a ceramic berry bowl to use with our yogurt and honey fruit salad recipe. It’s microwave and dishwasher safe, making it just as practical for everyday use as it is pretty on the table.

Finally, we’ve included two angled spatulas for stirring and combining your granola. These aren’t throwaway extras. They’re substantial, quality kitchen tools that you’ll reach for long after you’ve made the four recipes in this crate.

And because sharing is part of the fun, you’ll receive our bakery-style packaging for gifting your finished creations. Of course, we’ve also included Birdy & Pretzels pretzels for snacking.

Because if we’re cooking, we’re snacking.

A quick note before you get started: You do not need to complete the Bakers Crate series before beginning the Kitchen Crate series. However, a digital kitchen scale is required for our Kitchen Crate recipes. If you don’t already have one, shop our Kitchen Store to find the scale we recommend.

Kitchen Crate 1: Breakfast Oats gives you four B&P recipes, the tools to make them, and plenty of reasons to keep using both.
