Masters Week Pimento Cheese (With a Fresh Twist)

There are a few things that just belong together — and pimento cheese and Masters week is one of them. It’s simple, nostalgic, and always hits the table exactly when it should.

But our version does things a little differently.

Not Your Traditional Pimento Cheese

Fun fact — there are no pimentos in our pimento cheese.

Instead, we use finely diced red bell pepper and a fresh jalapeño (seeds removed) to bring a brighter, fresher flavor to the mix. It still delivers everything you expect — creamy, savory, and spreadable — but with a little more life and texture in every bite.

How We Make It (And Why It Matters)

Two non-negotiables:

Hand shred your cheese — it melts and mixes better, and the texture is noticeably different

Mix with gloved hands — it brings everything together more evenly and gives you control over the final texture

It might feel a little old-school, but it makes all the difference.

The Base That Makes It Work

This recipe is built on a blend of hand-shredded cheddar cheeses, combined with softened cream cheese for richness and structure.

We mix in Miracle Whip, which softens the texture just enough to make it perfectly spreadable without losing that classic body. Finished with flaky sea salt and fresh cracked black pepper, it’s simple, balanced, and exactly what we want it to be.

The Ingredients:

1 LB block Colby Jack Cheese
1 LB block Mild Cheddar Cheese
8 oz block Medium Cheddar Cheese
8 oz block Sharp Cheddar Cheese
8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
15 oz Miracle Whip
1 medium Red Bell Pepper, seeded & diced
1 medium Jalapeno, seeded & diced
Flakey Sea Salt
Fresh Cracked Black Pepper

Instructions

1. Begin with hand shredding ALL the block cheese, a medium size shred is ideal. Tag in a buddy if needed!
2. Deseed and dice your Bell Pepper & Jalapeno.
3. Begin with half of the shredded cheese, all the softened Cream Cheese, and half of your Miracle Whip and with gloved hands start blending your mixture together.
4. Once mixture is fully combined, add in the remainder of the shredded cheese, Miracle Whip, Peppers, Salt & Black Pepper.
5. When mixture is fully combined, taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
6. Serve up & enjoy!
